Anti-ageing skincare products are forever a trend; why not, who doesn’t want to look young forever?
Talking about anti-ageing, the first thing that comes to mind is vitamin C based skincare. These products work by enabling collagen synthesis and is related to antioxidants. However, Vitamin C products are easily oxidised as they come into contact with air during usage. Hence, some preferred skincare contained vitamin C derivatives, which are more stable and less expensive. However, such anti-ageing skincare effectiveness is not as effective as the former.
Besides vitamin C, vitamin E and lipoic acid are antioxidants as well. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant found in human blood and helps build resistance against infection. Vitamin E is also known to inhibit cancer. Lipoic acid is known to combat the signs of ageing very effectively by reversing the skin damage caused by the ageing process.
Today, as we realised, Natural & Organic skincare’s demand is on the rise. Brands are incorporating phytochemicals in their products. Phytochemicals are chemicals extracted from plants. There are a variety of phytochemicals that are in use today. One of them is Carotenoids.
Carotenoids are organic pigments responsible for producing orange, red and yellow hues in fruits and veggies. It is also a type of antioxidants that protect the skin against oxidative damage. Every time you step outside, you expose your skin to damaging UV rays, dirt, air pollution, you name it. These elements can break down critical structural proteins, namely elastin and collagen, leading to wrinkles, sagging and an overall aged complexion.
ORGGA is jumping in the “Carotenoids wagon” as well. We love pumpkins! Why? Keep reading.
Pumpkins, typically have a high content of carotenoids. By eating pumpkins, you’re nourishing skin cells with these powerful antioxidants. As a result, a youthful complexion and reduce damage from the environment.
Pumpkins contain high amounts of Beta-Carotene, which your body converts into Vitamins A and C. Both of these vitamins are super important for a healthy-looking complexion.
